Sohrab Sitaram, the start-up specialist, entrepreneur and CEO of Keventers, addressed Chitkara University students through a Facebook live session on how the recent global happenings had transformed business environment and how to explore insights into the new business outlook. He said there was nothing bad in marketing oneself and personal branding helped in personal development and business growth. It also helped establish a two-way channel of reaching out with your product/services. Speaking on striking a balance between financial viability and taking care of one's health and protecting lives in these dire times of Covid, he said one has to be extremely cautious while making a balance between the two. Whatever needs to be done must be done keeping in mind the plight of poorest of poor, like daily wagers and others living on the edge. He also emphasised the new normal for hospitality industry which will take a paradigm shift owing to the ongoing circumstances.

Human values programme

An online human values programme is being conducted for students, teachers and balvikas gurus for the past 72 days by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Himachal Pradesh. It includes invited lectures, presentations of students and readings from literature of all religions. More than 200 participants take home a message of 'living life with values and virtues' through this programme. Staying away from vices and attachment can go a long way in leading life with love and patience. The national coordinator for the organisation, Dr Neeta Khanna, conducts the ongoing programme, a participant, Dr Savita from Solan, informed. She said the programme was specially useful in these tough times where human beings need to be compassionate towards one another.
