Soybean export sales hit marketing year low again

US soybean export sales have hit marketing year lows for the third consecutive week. 

According to the USDA’s Weekly Export Sales report soybean sales fell 42 percent from the previous week and dropped 47 percent from the prior 4-week average. 

Wheat sales hit a market-year high at 877,109 tons, a 74 percent jump from the prior 4-week average, with China leading the way.

Corn sales jumped 53 percent this week with 1.84 million tons in sales with increases for Mexico, Colombia, South Korea, and China.

Rice sales were up 23 percent on the week and 17 percent on the year and cotton sales were up noticeably from the previous week and up 84 percent from the prior 4-week average.

Pork sales saw a 35 percent decline from the previous week and beef sales saw net sales reductions following significant reductions from South Korea. 

The USDA’s next set of supply and demand estimates is out December 10th.
