COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - As counties in Colorado are moving back into the “level orange” on the state’s COVID-19 dial--indoor dining will be allowed once again.

This comes as many restaurants are struggling to stay afloat.

Goat Patch Brewery says they have been able to adapt in the past few months. The taproom manager there told 11 NEWS this gives them hope things will be a little better in the new year.

Right now patrons at Goat Patch Brewing Company in Colorado Springs are sitting outside under heaters as they enjoy food and a brew.

“I mean, it’s been a struggle just, you know, especially with the cold days coming, just getting people to sit outside, but we’ve been pretty busy actually,” taproom manager Austin Spendlove said.

The brewery says the last few months have definitely been a challenge.

“It’s just every week is kind of a new, new struggle with just not really knowing what’s going to happen and kind of having to adapt and pivot.”

Things like finding more space for customers to safely enjoy a drink.

“We’ve, opened up a couple more rooms in the back area so that we can spread people out,” Spendlove explained. “We’ve just been really diligent about keeping things clean, you know, keeping that distance between customers and kind of setting up. Kind of,just a safe environment for people to come enjoy a beer with their friends.”

On Monday, Goat Patch will be allowed to have 48 people indoors--but they must be six feet apart and wear masks. Still despite the requirements--they--like so many others will take what they can get as hope is on the horizon.

“We’re hoping things will be able to go back to normal and, you know, with the vaccine and just like herd immunity and what whatnot, and just being able to kind of have, things go back to normal. We’re really happy to be opening up tomorrow,” he added.

Goat Patch Brewing added they will still have their patio open if people do want to sit outside.

Under level orange, places like Goat Patch are able to operate at a 25 percent capacity.

First week of indoor seating and we have quite the line-up of food trucks! Stop by and grab a brew and some great food this week.🍻
