Submitted by the Port of Orcas.
Starting Oct. 1 and running through Nov. 19, the Orcas airport will once again be collecting food for the Orcas Island Food Bank during the Second Annual Fly Washington Passport Food Drive. Last year our airport collected 500 pounds of food and we received this trophy for the year. If we are not the winners the trophy will have to be handed over to another airport that collected the most food. I would like our food bank to again receive the most food collected out of all other participating airports. What an honor it was to have collected so much for our community! Non-pilots are always welcome to drop off food at the terminal.
