The San Francisco Giants shut out the Los Angeles Dodgers again with a 1-0 victory in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Monday. With the win, the Giants take a 2-1 series lead.

Giants third baseman Evan Longoria scored the only run of the night with a solo home run off Dodgers ace Max Scherzer in the fifth inning. It marked Longoria's first playoff home run since 2013.

Despite Los Angeles' loss, Scherzer delivered a masterful performance against the club's NL West rivals. He recorded 10 strikeouts and gave up only one walk and one run on three hits in seven innings. Scherzer retired 10 straight batters from early in the first inning until halfway through the fourth before Kris Bryant singled to left field. An inning later, Longoria slugged a 407-foot solo shot to left field.

Following Longoria's homer, Scherzer retired the final nine batters he faced. Out of the right-hander's 110 pitches, 76 were strikes.

Giants starter Alex Wood, facing his former team, gave up two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. San Francisco called on 24-year-old reliever Camilo Doval to close out the game, where he retired the side in order in both the eighth and nine innings.

The Giants opened the series with a 4-0 shut out against the Dodgers in Game 1. Los Angeles bounced back with a 9-2 win in Game 2.

The Dodgers will host the Giants for Game 4 at 9:07 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
