Interface Children and Family Services has named four new members to the agency’s board of directors: Primo Custodio, Kevin Rex, Mira Shishim and Felix Wang.
Their varied professional backgrounds and experience will be integral as Interface begins working on its next strategic plan and prepares for its 50th anniversary celebration in 2023, the agency said.
Custodio brings 44 years of human resources experience to the board. Before his retirement, he served as vice president of human resources for NBCUniversal for 15 years.
In this role, Custodio supervised the human resources function on the West Coast for the operations and technical services consisting of Universal studio operations and West Coast technical operations.
Rex offers financial expertise to the board, serving as a partner for Morton Wealth in Calabasas. For the past six years, he has worked as a wealth advisor.
As part of the Morton Capital team, Rex is involved in business development for the firm and holds a series 65 license and a certificate as a certified financial planner.
As a physician assistant, Shishim received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.
She practices at Anacapa Surgical Associates in Ventura as a physician assistant specializing in general surgery and family practice. She brings a perspective as a healthcare provider with knowledge of how Interface’s programs interact with various healthcare partners.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in bioengineering, Wang moved to Los Angeles to begin his career with Tyco International, where he worked for six years before retiring from electronics manufacturing. He began a new career in the hospitality industry with Hyatt International and is managing the family business, which includes the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn.
Wang’s concern for raising awareness about human trafficking within the hospitality industry will help Interface connect with other hospitality leaders across Ventura County and the region to provide training and outreach.
Interface Children and Family Services is at 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd., Ste. I, Camarillo. Call ( 805) 485- 6114 or go to icfs.org.
