MEDINA, Ohio -- Due to Medina County’s designation as purple on the Ohio Public Health Advisory system, and in an effort to protect staff and patrons, the Medina County District Library branches are currently open for curbside pickup and Anytime Locker service only.
Library staff will continue to be available by phone and chat during service hours. Anytime Locker service is the only pickup option at the Seville Library.
Library service hours remain the same:
• Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon to 8 p.m.
• Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Closed Sunday
Book drops will remain open at all locations.
Many options are available to continue library service.
You can reserve materials through the online catalog at mcdl.info or on the CLEVNET app. When items become available, a staff member will contact you to arrange for pickup.
Visit mcdl.info to access the eMedia collection, as well as research and online learning opportunities. If you don’t already have a library card, get an eCard to access these online services.
Contact the library anytime by email. Use the live chat or call by phone for reference services during all open hours.
Interact with virtual events anytime on YouTube and live events via Zoom, including story times, family activities, and author and reading events.
Free fiber-fast Wi-Fi is boosted outside library buildings into the branch parking lots for use 24/7. And Wi-Fi hotspots may be reserved, when available, by phone or email at your branch. Select Tools & Tech items may be requested at the Medina Library. These technologies must be picked up through curbside service.
The Medina Library’s Family History and Learning Center continues to offer banner printing and 3D printing. Patrons may email projects to makerspace@mcdl.info, pay online and pick up projects through curbside service.
Virtual Genealogy 1-on-1 appointments are available by video call to assist with your research. Email me-team.genealogy@mcdl.info to schedule.
Find out if you qualify for outreach services with residential delivery, books by mail or pickup service by a family member or friend.
Remote printing is available with contact-free document pickup. Call your local branch during service hours to arrange.
Book donations to the Friends of the Library cannot be accepted at this time. Book sales are also suspended. Once the libraries reopen to the public, sales and donations at the Medina Library only may resume.
