Did you notice something different about your Disney+ app? You are not wrong, as over the last few days, Disney+ has started to roll out a new update that will show you on the main menu how far into a show you are on its continue-watching menu. This is a great feature to show you if that episode you are seeing is one that is almost done or just started.
Here is what the new Disney+ update looks like:
This all comes as Hulu is now built into Disney+, which recently merged with Hulu. This new feature makes it easier to track what you are watching, like many other streaming services already offer. By bringing these features and content to the Disney+ app, it is hoped that customers will continue to pay for the Disney+ service.
Slowly, Disney has been adding new features and content to Disney+ in the hopes that it will help keep you locked into the service and paying. A change like this may look small but if it helps customers stay locked in to the app by rewatching or finishing programs that they love it may mean they are more likely to keep paying.
The new update seems to be live on Roku now and rolling out to other devices.
